One of my grade 6's came dressed as a "sexy ladybug"... basically consisting of a mini length tube dress, wings, and high heels. very disturbing, makes you wonder what kind of parents would want their 11 year old daughter being "sexy". you are absolutely right. i work in an elementary school and this past halloween we had to stock up on cardigans and extra pants/leggings to cover up some of our kids. This is the first time I have really looked into the range of Halloween costumes and some of the costumes for tweens seem to be very provocative. I assume parents would actually buy the costumes, especially from an online source, so they would have to sanction the wearing of the costume to some extent but they obviously sell or they wouldn't be available.
